Release of School Records to Court Appointed Special Advocate

IN RE: RELEASE OF SCHOOL RECORDS

SPECIAL ORDER

Good Cause Appearing and pursuant to the authority vested in the Court by California Welfare and Institutions Code 827, and pursuant to 49077 of the California Education code; 20 U.S.C. 1232g(b)(1)(I); and 34 C.P.R. 99.36:

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that each Board of Education in Santa Clara County, each school district superintendent and all other employees of each school district in Santa Clara County, upon request of any Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) under court appointment as a minor's advocate, release any information to said CASA within seven days of the CASk's request for the purpose of reporting to and/or making recommendations to the juvenile court.

IT 10 FURTHER ORDERED that the superintendent of each school district in Santa Clara County cause a copy of this order to be distributed to every school site administrator within his/her school district.
